A study conducted at 11 state quarantines
The Coordinating Unit for One Health implemented the COVID-19 Sewage Surveillance Program at 11 state quarantines. The objective of this project is to detect SARS-CoV-2 virus in wastewater from primary, secondary and tertiary water treatment. Besides, in this project, we could gain knowledge and information about the correlation between detected SARS-CoV-2 virus and confirmed cases in the state quarantines. The detection of RNA fragments of SARS-CoV-2 virus played an important part in confirming the correlation with the patient at the given areas.
According to the study conducted since November 2022, we found 137 positive result or 46.28% from 269 samples
