เครือข่ายมหาวิทยาลัยสุขภาพหนึ่งเดียวแห่งประเทศไทย (Thailand One Health University Network; THOHUN) จะจัดให้มีการอบรมระยะสั้น เรื่อง International Short Course on Ecosystem Health: Health issues at the human-animal- environment interface ในวันที่ ๔ – ๒๔ มิถุนายน ๒๕๕๙ ณ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล วิทยาเขตกาญจนบุรี จังหวัดกาญจนบุรี โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อให้บุคลากร นิสิต นักศึกษาจากสหสาขา ได้มีความรู้ความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับ สมรรถนะทางด้านสุขภาพหนึ่งเดียว ความรู้พื้นฐานเกี่ยวกับโรคติดเชื้อ รวมถึงทักษะทางเทคนิคและเครื่องมือต่างๆ ที่จาเป็นสาหรับการสืบสวน ป้องกัน ควบคุม และตอบโต้โรคอุบัติใหม่/ซ้า เช่น geographic information system (GIS) risk detection and risk analysis , model based reasoning and risk communication, และ geographic information system รวมทั้งให้บุคลากร และนักศึกษาจากสหสาขาเหล่านี้ ได้มีโอกาสในการสืบสวนโรค และหาวิธีการแก้ปัญหาที่เกี่ยวกับโรคติดเชื้อและปัญหาสุขภาพอื่นๆ ที่เกิดขึ้น จากคน สัตว์ สิ่งแวดล้อม และการปฏิบัติงานจริงร่วมกันในหมู่บ้านสุขภาพหนึ่งเดียวสาธิต
Outline of the course
Week 1 (June 6-10): Fundamental knowledge and tools for cause identification
1. Introduction of One Health concept and One Health workforce development
2. Lecture and presentation on public health problems in the selected OH village: Klang Pla Kod
1) Wildlife-human conflict
2) Environmental change and related disease
3) Transboundary diseases
3. Lecture and practice: risk analysis
3.1 Human
3.2 Animal
3.3 Environment
4. Lecture and practice in GIS
5. Visit of One Health village: multidisciplinary groups will identify animal, human and environmental problems in the selected village and stake holders
Week 2 (June 13-17): Field exposure and hazard/risk detection
1. Presentation on information of One Health village
2. Visit of One Health village: multidisciplinary groups will identify animal, human and environmental problems in the selected village and stake holders
3. Planning for hazard identification
4. Lecture: OH Presentation technique eg. Digital Media Storytelling
5. Hazard detection, analysis and problem based project presentations
Week 3 (June 20-24): Community approach and risk and behavior change communication
1. Lectures: community approach and risk communication
2. Planning and development of risk communication/solution
3. Community approach and risk communication to the community
4. Class discussion on how to improve the course management, learning and community
